Kube Medical Supports Athletes on the Road to Success

Patrick Campbell • Apr 09, 2024

Kube Medical has joined forces with three local young athletes to help them achieve their goals. The successful applicants will benefit from the expert care at the clinic to reach peak performance in their sports over the year ahead. They include a Swindon Town FC player, an international standard swimmer and aspiring youth sailor.

Team Kube has been running for four years, helping elite athletes with injuries and performance optimisation. The team has recently grown, with the addition of three outstanding new young athletes from the Swindon area.

Pharrell Johnson signed for Swindon Town FC in January, but was quickly ruled out with injury. Kube Medical will be supporting Pharrell with his recovery and ambition of securing a starting place in the team in the upcoming season.

He is joined by swimmer Amelia Cripps and sailor Toby Owen. Amelia aims to build on her successful swimming career and achieve a top ten ranking in Great Britain. Toby is a budding club sailor with autism, who aspires to compete at a national and international level.

‘’Since Swindon Town and Kube have a previous relationship it was easier to find help where I needed it the most,” says Pharrell Johnson. Who is looking to get into the first team at Swindon Town.

One of the youngest athletes in the programme is Toby. He is a sailor and is diagnosed with autism. While he is sailing Toby is competing with people much older and more experienced than he is. Toby has aspirations of competing with team GB at world championship and at the ILCA European events in the future.

Toby Owen recently competed at the RYA Youth Nationals - a glimpse of him can be caught at 1:06 in the above video.

“It is so cool at such a young age to already have represented Great Britain in mind. It’s a surreal moment that I'll never forget,” said Amelia, who is a swimmer, aiming to get back into the top ten in Great Britain.

Kube Medical works with youth and adult athletes at any levels. The team of Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, sport therapists and massage therapist helps athletes with their recovery and rehabilitation, as well as helping them to stay in peak conditions for competitions.
