The food we eat and the environmental factors we are exposed to can have a huge impact on our health. Some of these foods and environmental factors have the potential to induce health problems. The reactions can often be mild like bloating and tiredness. But when these symptoms persist, it can negatively affect one's quality of life.
At Kube Medical, we provide food intolerance and allergy testing so you can become more aware of the possibility of such sensitivities. You can then make better food choices for your diet and work on limiting your exposure to environmental factors that will ensure you enjoy optimal health. This can be achieved through a simple blood test taken at our clinic. We currently offer a range of testing options from the highly regarded YorkTest and Medichecks.
We also undertake health testing that enables us to ascertain how well key organs like the heart, liver and kidneys are functioning. This testing can also be used to check nutrient levels in the blood that can give an indication as to the possibility of lifestyle-related health risks. You can opt for this if concerned about certain health issues or as part of a general health check. These tests may also qualify you for a consultation with a doctor or nutritionist who can better guide you on what dietary and lifestyle changes you can make to improve your health.

Why Intolerance, Allergy and Health Testing

Food intolerance means that you have difficulty digesting certain foods and suffer symptoms from this. The symptoms can include bloating, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, skin rashes, and itching. They may typically arise a few hours after having eaten certain foods.
Food allergies are an immune response to particular foods that can vary from mild to severe. This can range anywhere from itchiness and hives to vomiting and anaphylaxis. The reaction time tends to be shorter, with symptoms arising anywhere between a few seconds to a few minutes after eating. Some food allergies can be extreme enough to be life-threatening.

You can often tell that you suffer from food intolerance or allergy by noticing cause and effect when you eat certain foods. Our intolerance and food allergy testing allow you to more accurately verify this possibility. Once you know for sure that you have an intolerance or allergy, you can then adjust your diet to ensure you do not eat such food. You should ensure that by excluding such food/foods, you do not trigger a deficiency. Consulting with one of our doctors or nutritionists is a good way to get advice on how to ensure the diet you will be adhering to will keep you in good health.

Health testing is an examination of your blood that helps to identify possible lifestyle risks to your health. By looking at such biomarkers as proteins, cholesterol, triglycerides, iron and vitamin levels, it is possible to determine your risk profile for developing certain health conditions and work with your doctor or a nutritionist to reduce this danger. The risk of developing certain lifestyle-related conditions like diabetes, heart disease, obesity and some cancers can be reduced when action is taken early.
