Newsletter: March 2024

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus!

February has passed us in a flash and it’s March already. Sadly what we hoped would be a lovely photo of the clinic dogs and daffodils turned out to be a little underwhelming and damp. We've added a few more daffodils to compensate for this!

Here’s what’s going on at the clinic at the moment.:

Mothering Sunday

Celebrate Mothering Sunday with a massage with Evie. Sadly we're not open on the day itself, but these can be booked online, or vouchers purchased from the Admin team.

Team Kube

A few weeks ago, we opened applications for our athletic sponsorship program. We’ll be supporting successful athletes on their journey to international or professional sport. We’ve already had some great applicants, but there’s still more time to get your application in. Entries close on 10th March and should be completed on the form on the original story.

Events

We’ve booked some exciting new events in the coming months:

  • Sarah Shah at Kube Medical

    Sarah Shah Menopause Coach

    Button
  • Shane Benzie at Kube Medical

    Shane Benzie Coaching Workshop

    Button
  • Kube Medical Infant Clinic

    Infant Clinic

  • Sarah Shah: Menopause Coach will be at the clinic on 13th March 9.30am-11am and 8th May 7-8.30. This will be a free session for patients to better understand the journey of peri/menopause and the support available. Spaces will be limited, so please book by clicking the relevant date.
  • Shane Benzie, will be leading a running workshop at the clinic on 28th April from 9am to 5pm. Shane is the international best selling author of The Lost Art of Running: A Journey to Rediscover the Forgotten Essence of Human Movement. His techniques help runners of all levels of experience and ability. Places cost £95 each and can be booked by emailing reception on admin@kubemedical.co.uk.
  • Infant clinic will be running this month on 5th and 19th March from 1-3pm. Our paediatric trained practitioners will be on hand to discuss your circumstances at this free drop-in session. There’s no need to book.

Changes to online booking

We’re doing everything we can to make booking with us easier. Most recently we’ve moved our online booking page to our website. Just head to www.kubemedical.co.uk/book to arrange your appointment and avoid remembering the old tricky URL.

Extension of complimentary consultations

We’ve extended our offer of complimentary 10 minute consultations with practitioners into March. These are short sessions that don’t involve any formal assessment or treatment, but give prospective new patients, who don’t yet feel ready to book, the opportunity to speak to a practitioner about how treatment might be able to help them.

Blood tests

Our blood testing service has hit the ground running since it was launched in February. We’re now working with Medichecks, Yorktest and Viva Health Labs to provide access to a wide range of at home and in clinic tests, many of which are stocked in the clinic or available next day for short notice testing. Patients can also purchase their own tests online and book their blood draw with us.

If you need anything from us at Kube Medical, we are available on 01793 205345, or our admin team can be found at admin@kubemedical.co.uk. Our Website also has an online booking and you can even get to know our team a little more.

Best wishes from all the team at Kube Medical

Kube Medical | Clinical Integrity
by Patrick Campbell 14 June 2025
Like many businesses in healthcare, we sometimes receive feedback that is difficult to read — not because it challenges us, but because it doesn’t reflect the care and intention with which our team works every day. Recently, a negative review was shared online that has been mentioned by both current and prospective patients. While we always value constructive feedback and use it to review our processes, I wanted to take a moment — from my perspective as a non-clinical Director — to clarify how we work, and the values that guide our decisions when it comes to patient care.

As a Physiotherapist with over six years of experience working with athletes, I've encountered a pattern that’s all too familiar — the dedicated, driven sports person who finds themselves stuck in limbo after an injury. One particular case stands out, and it’s a scenario I see frequently, especially with individuals recovering from sports injuries in Swindon.

Every so often, I come across someone who’s been told, or believes, they have cervical kyphosis. It’s a term that sounds serious and often sparks fear, confusion, or a sudden identity shift: “I have a curved neck; I must be broken.” Today, I saw just that—someone on social media seeking help after self-diagnosing with cervical kyphosis.

If you have private health insurance with Bupa, Axa, Aviva, Vitality, or WPA, you may be eligible to receive Chiropractic, Osteopathy, or Physiotherapy treatment at Kube Medical in Swindon. Many health insurance policies cover musculoskeletal treatments, but it’s important to understand how the process works, what is covered, and how to make a claim. This guide will walk you through the insurance process, what treatments are covered, and how to book an appointment using your insurance.
