Kube Medical Acquires Baby Acorn Clinic

Patrick Campbell • 31 March 2025

Kube Medical, a leading Swindon-based healthcare clinic, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Baby Acorn Clinic, a specialist infant feeding support and tongue tie assessment and division for babies up to 12 months old. The acquisition will take effect from 1st April 2025, with Baby Acorn Clinic continuing to operate under its established name as part of the Kube Medical umbrella.

This acquisition marks the next step in a long-standing collaboration between the two clinics, which have been working together for several years at Nexus Business Centre in Cheney Manor. Kube Medical provides musculoskeletal assessment and treatment for babies, while Baby Acorn Clinic specialises in tongue tie assessment and treatment—together, covering a broad range of reasons that babies may struggle to feed well.

A Seamless Transition with Shared Values

The transition is set to be smooth, with no disruption to patient care. As part of Kube Medical, Baby Acorn Clinic will continue its focus on high-quality, patient-centred care, now with the additional benefit of greater accessibility and enhanced support services.

Cathy Gale, the founder of Baby Acorn Clinic, commented: "As I look towards retirement, it was essential to me that Baby Acorn Clinic was placed in the hands of a team who share our values and commitment to patient care. Having worked alongside Kube Medical for years, I have seen first-hand their dedication to clinical excellence, professionalism, and patient support. I have every confidence that they are the right people to take the clinic forward and continue providing the highest standard of care for families."

Expanding Infant Care Across the Region

With this acquisition, Kube Medical plans to expand services to Bristol and Faringdon, ensuring that more families can access specialist feeding and musculoskeletal care for their babies.

Samantha Campbell, Kube Medical’s Clinical Director added:

"We have always prioritised access to information and advice, and this acquisition allows us to make Baby Acorn Clinic’s services even more accessible. Families will now be able to speak with a member of the team more easily or get advice at one of our bi-monthly drop-in clinics. With all services available under one roof, parents will have better access to the right care for their babies when they need it most."

The integration of Baby Acorn Clinic into Kube Medical represents an exciting step forward in providing comprehensive infant healthcare, ensuring that every baby gets the best possible start in life.

Kube Medical | Clinical Integrity
by Patrick Campbell 14 June 2025
Like many businesses in healthcare, we sometimes receive feedback that is difficult to read — not because it challenges us, but because it doesn’t reflect the care and intention with which our team works every day. Recently, a negative review was shared online that has been mentioned by both current and prospective patients. While we always value constructive feedback and use it to review our processes, I wanted to take a moment — from my perspective as a non-clinical Director — to clarify how we work, and the values that guide our decisions when it comes to patient care.

As a Physiotherapist with over six years of experience working with athletes, I've encountered a pattern that’s all too familiar — the dedicated, driven sports person who finds themselves stuck in limbo after an injury. One particular case stands out, and it’s a scenario I see frequently, especially with individuals recovering from sports injuries in Swindon.

Every so often, I come across someone who’s been told, or believes, they have cervical kyphosis. It’s a term that sounds serious and often sparks fear, confusion, or a sudden identity shift: “I have a curved neck; I must be broken.” Today, I saw just that—someone on social media seeking help after self-diagnosing with cervical kyphosis.
